ACF has also been operating in Jigawa and Kano states in the Northwest with social protection, advocacy and policy-level interventions. The mission launched a response in Sokoto state in the Northwest in 2021 following the cholera outbreak. Since 2018, ACF has been among the leading agencies in implementing the Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) in Northeast and Northwest Nigeria (Borno, Yobe, Jigawa, Kano, Bauchi and Sokoto states) to address the urgent humanitarian assistance to the displaced populations. Currently, ACF is implementing multi-sectoral emergency and development-oriented programs in Yobe, Borno, Jigawa, Kano, Bauchi and Sokoto States reaching  2,732,030 individuals ( 1,133,162 Male; 1,598,868 Female) in the year 2022.
